About Me

Hey, I’m Amanda

Thank you for your interest in my photography! I have gone through a twisty, windy and super fun road to land here.  It started with a master’s degree in education. I taught high school science before discovering my passion for photography while learning to photograph birds. After having children, I realized that photographing people was where my heart truly lies. Now, 10 years later, I’m still loving every moment of this amazing journey!

I’m passionate about providing my clients with an experience that goes beyond just taking photos.

As a former science teacher, my deep appreciation for our local environment helps me uncover hidden gems that bring a bit of magic to every session. I am a forever learner and perfectionist within my field. I want every image to transport you back to a feeling, a place, a sensory moment.

My style is a blend of creativity, refinement, and authenticity. Some of the images I create will be candid and spontaneous, while others will have a more posed touch. I love capturing the real moments of connection and love within your family, so expect plenty of hugs, shoulder rides, twirls, and laughter!

I want every image to transport you back to a feeling, a place, a sensory moment.

Where it all began

2007

Completed my masters in education and bought my first DSLR with a big lens for photographing birds.

2009

Loved teaching and honing in on my photography skills that would prepare me for my future career photographing other fast moving creatures (little people).

2016

Started taking on family clients and was in disbelief from the joy that photography had given to me.

2014

My first son was born and I fell head over heels in love. I could not stop taking his picture.

2025

Seeing some of the same amazing clients regularly now after several years for annual photos. Grateful for this amazing job and the wonderful people that I get to photograph.
